BSU tutors featured in The Bookseller

This week two of our wonderful tutors were spotted in The Bookseller!

Gracing the cover of the magazine this week was Sam Beckbessinger. In her author interview, Sam talks of the inspiration for her adult debut novel, Femme Feral, from her own life experience and fascination with the female rage that rears its head in perimenopause.

We were also excited to see former Writing for Young People tutor, CJ Skuse, in the headlines. CJ’s new novel, Darling Bud, which is a companion novel to her successful Sweetpea series, has been acquired by HQ Digital and is set to be published in June 2026. CJ now tutors for the Faber Academy on their ‘Writing Crime’ and ‘Writing a Novel’ courses.
