Sophie O’Brien

After winning her first game of Cluedo at eight years old, it's fair to say that Sophie O'Brien became a bit mystery-obsessed. She asked for a magnifying glass for Christmas, dressed as Sherlock Holmes for World Book Day, and was so determined to solve the mystery of the missing salt and vinegar Pringle that her mum finally had to step in and admit she'd eaten it. It was exhausting for everyone involved.

Twenty years later, Sophie still loves mysteries, so much that she decided to write one of her own! When she's not writing, sleuthing, or eating Pringles (never salt and vinegar flavoured because the betrayal is still so raw), Sophie is probably curled up with a book or cuddling her ridiculously fluffy cat, Wednesday.

Ruby Martin is NOT The Bubblegum Bandit

Ruby Martin hates being the centre of attention. She wants to fit in and earn her classmates’ approval, even if that means fading into the background. So, when she gets framed for being The Bubblegum Bandit – a sneaky, bubblegum-wielding prankster who’s targeted several of her classmates – she’s horrified. Suddenly, she’s the most hated person in school! Determined to clear her name, Ruby and her best friend, wannabe detective Harriet, set about finding the real bandit. But can they uncover the truth before The Bubblegum Bandit strikes again? Or is Ruby about to be framed for the worst bubblegum prank yet?
